报告内容简介：

Driving forces for novel generation communication technologies of 6G, seeing significant field deployment of 5G, include IoT, smart cities, industry, governance, IoV/automotive, safety/emergency, entertainment, environment, etc. This talk will review the history of mobile communication technology, summarising 5G and speculate the characteristics of 6G in terms of the following requirements: Infrastructure covering large bandwidth, flexibility, capacity, mobility, geographic coverage, large communities of users, response time, number of terminals, energy saving, space communications, etc.; User applications and services covering flexibility, integration, intelligent behaviour, large set of service types, security and privacy, etc.; and Integration and novel technologies covering Global Internet, Cloud computing, etc. Standardisation and organisations involved can be 3GPP, 5GPP, ETSI, ITU-T, GSMA, ONF, NGNM, IETF, IEEE, etc.

主讲人简介：

Professor Hongji Yang received the B.S and M.S. degrees in computer science from Jilin University China in 1982 and 1985 respectively and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Durham University U.K. in 1994. He is currently a Professor with the University of Leicester. He has published 500+ refereed journal articles and conference papers. His research interests include creative computing, software engineering and Internet computing. In 2010 he became an IEEE Computer Society Golden Core member.
